Kalamazoo Supports Medicare for All!
The Southwest Michigan Democratic Socialists of America (SWMI DSA) Medicare for All Working Group has recently submitted a resolution to the City of Kalamazoo Commission urging their support for Medicare for All.
The resolution, which can be read here, will affirm the City of Kalamazoo as a city that believes in healthcare as a human right. It will add the City’s voice to a growing number of cities across the nation and force our ‘progressive’ leaders to commit to supporting universal healthcare.

Email your Commissioners!
If you live in the City of Kalamazoo, contact your Commissioners and Mayor! Tell them why it’s important to support Medicare for All. Tell them your stories about our dreadful healthcare system. About the SWMI DSA Medicare for All Working Group
We believe that healthcare is a human right and our working group is currently leading the fight for Medicare for All in South West Michigan. The group’s work ranges from raising awareness to lobbying our politicians directly. In 2020, the Kalamazoo County Commission approved a resolution supporting Medicare for All. The effort to pass the resolution was organized by members of SWMI DSA.
